The Head Lice Nightmare!

If you’ve NEVER had to deal with Head Lice, consider yourself lucky! If it HAS ever hit your home, you understand the feelings of anger, embarrassment, shame, frustration & exhaustion associated with it. You’re not alone.

Lice don’t carry diseases. Having lice has nothing to do with your personal hygiene or how clean your house is, but the thought of dozens of these creatures crawling all over your child's head is creepy and gross! Drug store treatments work...sometimes... for a while, but it usually comes back. Lice, like other insects, develop a resistance to pesticides, so you have to keep using stronger and stronger chemicals. If it’s strong enough to remove nail polish, it must not be very good for your child’s body! The ingredients in our formula are all natural, and actually good for you! They don’t dry, instead they actually improve the condition of your hair and scalp. The olive/coconut/avocado oil base makes nit removal easier, while Neem, Tea Tree and other Essential Oils kill the lice, usually within minutes!

We formulated this blend of essential oils and have found that Head Lice really don't seem to tolerate them! Products were originally created when head lice was going around in our school district. Since Lice is not a contagious disease, the school policy is that they do NOT send notes home when another child has lice, which would actually be really nice since parents would have a "heads up" and a chance to actually LOOK for lice or WATCH for them and treat them before it becomes an infestation! They may be able to avoid nasty chemicals and nit picking for hours.

To me, the lice treatment and spray is like an insurance policy...never leaving home for vacation without it! These products are great for other causes of itchy dry scalp...they make your hair and scalp feel great!

No More Lice Oil: Apply to hair & scalp. Comb through with METAL lice comb, then shampoo (best results when you shampoo with your "regular" shampoo twice) to remove oil. It is amazing not only for helping get rid of those little pests, but improved the quality of hair and scalp, leaving it shiny and manageable!

No More Lice Shampoo: Great lather, leaves hair soft. Use this as back up or as preventative. Safe to use daily as preventative during times of school outbreaks.

No More Lice Repellent Spray: This can be used daily to prevent lice. Spray on hair as needed. Can also be used on furniture, auto upholstery and bedding.

All products are 100% natural with the exception of 1% Polyquaternium-10, a gentle and safe conditioner in the shampoo. Essential oils used include: Tea Tree, Neem, Karanja, Lemongrass, Lavender, Eucalyptus & Peppermint.

Products are available in a set which includes: 8 oz oil treatment. 8 oz shampoo, 4 oz spray and a metal lice removing comb. Also available as individual products and in larger sizes too.

Wow! I can not wait to try the shampoo and leave in spray! My daughter has come home with lice 3 times in the past 6 months. 2 weeks ago she stayed with a friend and came home loaded with fully grown bugs, after I had sat and picked every single nit from her hair Friday night, before she went. I treated her again, with normal chemicals, checked her hair again, and she was clean of everything. I got the lice detangler spray in the mail and this weekend I sent her to her friends with the spray in her hair... I checked her before she went, nothing, I checked her when she came back, there were about 10 full grown DEAD bugs in her hair! I will be purchasing more of this, for myself, and my daughters friend, since that is where she seems to be picking it up! I also tried this on my head first, because I know tee tree oil tends to irritate some scalps, but there was no irritation at all. It smells so much better than any chemical you could ever buy. I was very suprised how well this worked! Great job ButterDuckFarms! I will be a repeat customer for life!

In 2014, we sent a care package to El Amor de Patricia, a home for vulnerable children in Guatemala. They were having an ongoing problem with head lice. At the time, there were 26 kids living there and more that visit daily. We did our best to translate the labels into Spanish, and although probably not perfect, I'm pretty sure they get the point across! If you'd like Spanish labels on your products, just ask!
